웹과 앱 모두 이름만 적으면 바로 시작합니다. 원하면 구글·애플 등 로그인을 연결해 다른 기기에서도 같은 코드로 들어올 수 있고(선택), 이때 로그인은 "같은 사람인지"만 알기 위해 씁니다. 이메일, 실명, 전화번호, 친구 목록은 받지 않습니다. 통화 소리는 기기끼리 직접 오가며 서버에 저장되지 않습니다.

1. 모으는 정보

로그인을 연결하지 않았고 연락처도 없는 계정은 30일 동안 접속이 없으면 쓰지 않는 계정으로 보고 위 정보를 모두 자동으로 지웁니다.

로그인 업체에는 회원 고유번호 말고 아무것도 요청하지 않습니다. 고유번호도 원래 값이 아니라 되돌릴 수 없는 해시로만 저장합니다.

2. 모으지 않는 것

• 통화와 방의 소리. 기기끼리 직접(P2P) 암호화되어 오갑니다. 직접 연결이 막힌 통신망에서는 중계 서버를 거치지만, 암호화된 채로 지나가며 저장하지 않습니다.
• 이메일 주소, 실명, 전화번호, 생년월일, 주소록, 위치
• 광고용 추적 정보. 광고를 붙이지 않고, 광고 ID(안드로이드 광고 ID, 아이폰 IDFA)도 모으지 않습니다. 이용 통계는 광고에 쓰지 않습니다.
• 이용 통계에는 이름, 코드, 연락처, 방 이름, 통화 상대 같은 내용을 담지 않습니다.

3. 제3자 제공과 위탁

개인정보를 팔거나 다른 회사에 넘기지 않습니다. 다만 서비스가 돌아가려면 아래 회사의 기능을 거칩니다.

• 로그인(선택): Google, Apple, 카카오, 네이버, Meta(페이스북). 내가 고른 업체에서만 로그인 확인이 이뤄집니다.
• 알림 전달: 안드로이드 앱은 Google(Firebase 클라우드 메시징), 아이폰 앱은 Apple(푸시 알림 서비스), 웹은 쓰는 브라우저의 알림 서비스(Google, Apple, Mozilla 등). 알림 내용에는 부른 사람의 이름만 담깁니다.
• 이용 통계: Google(Google 애널리틱스, 앱은 Firebase 애널리틱스). 위 1번의 이용 통계 항목이 웹·앱을 쓸 때마다 Google LLC(미국)의 서버로 전송되어 2개월 동안 보관됩니다(국외 이전). 원하지 않으면 아래 6번의 방법으로 거부할 수 있고, 거부해도 서비스는 그대로 쓸 수 있습니다.
• 서버: 운영자가 직접 관리하는 서버에 저장합니다.

법령에 따라 수사기관이 적법한 절차로 요청하는 경우에는 보관 중인 정보 안에서 응할 수 있습니다.

4. 내 정보 지우기

웹, 안드로이드 앱, 아이폰 앱 모두 같은 방법으로 지웁니다. 앱의 "나"(웹은 "내 정보") 화면에서 계정을 지우면 이름, 코드, 연락처 관계, 만든 방, 차단 목록, 방 이용 기록, 알림 구독, 로그인 기록이 바로 지워집니다. 로그아웃은 그 기기에서만 나가는 것이고 정보는 남습니다. 로그인 업체와의 연결은 각 업체의 계정 설정(연결된 서비스 관리)에서도 끊을 수 있습니다.

앱에 들어갈 수 없을 때는 sody@kakao.com 으로 내 고유 코드를 적어 삭제를 요청하면 7일 안에 지웁니다. 최근 통화 기록은 서버가 아니라 내 기기에만 있으므로, 앱 데이터를 지우거나 앱을 삭제하면 함께 사라집니다. 다만 받지 못한 전화(부재중)는 나중에 알려 드리기 위해 누가 언제 걸었는지만 서버에 7일 동안 두었다가 지웁니다.

5. 어린이

만 14세 미만 어린이는 보호자가 자기 계정으로 로그인한 뒤, 어린이 이름으로 프로필을 따로 만들어 주는 방식으로 씁니다. 어린이의 계정 정보는 받지 않습니다. 모르는 사람이 바로 걸 수 없도록, 서로 수락한 연락처끼리만 부를 수 있습니다.

6. 기기에 저장되는 것

로그인 상태, 고른 스킨과 언어, 글씨 크기, 목소리 효과 설정이 브라우저 저장소(앱은 앱 저장소)에 남습니다. 로그인 도중에만 쓰는 임시 쿠키 하나(10분)가 있고, 웹에는 이용 통계용 Google 애널리틱스 쿠키(_ga 등, 최대 2년)가 저장됩니다. 브라우저 설정에서 쿠키를 막거나 Google 애널리틱스 차단 부가 기능(tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)으로 거부할 수 있습니다. 앱의 이용 통계를 원하지 않으면 sody@kakao.com 으로 알려 주세요.

7. 문의와 변경

Summary

This policy applies equally to the website and the Android and iPhone apps (com.hawayoo.walkie). The website and the apps start with just a display name. You can optionally connect a sign-in such as Google or Apple to use the same code on other devices; it is used only to confirm that it is the same person. We do not receive your email, real name, phone number or friends list. Call audio travels directly between devices and is never stored on our server.

What we store

• If you connect a sign-in, an irreversible hash of the member ID given by the provider you chose (Google, Apple, Kakao, Naver or Facebook). Nothing else is requested from the provider.
• In the apps, an irreversible hash of a device identifier (the Android device ID, or a random number the iPhone app creates on first launch), so reinstalling the app on the same device brings back your code instead of creating a new account.
• Accounts with no connected sign-in and no contacts are treated as unused and deleted automatically after 30 days without activity.
• The display name you typed, your unique code and its language.
• Contact relationships and labels, rooms you created (name, topic, language, password hash).
• Push subscription data created by your browser, or the push token and device identifier the app receives (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, Apple Push Notification service on iPhone), until you turn notifications off or delete your account.
• Records of rooms you created or joined (who, which room, when), used for usage limits and abuse prevention, until you delete your account.
• Your block list (name and code of people you blocked), until you unblock them or delete your account.
• Reports (reporter, reported person, reason, room, time), deleted automatically after one year; until then they may remain even if the reporter deletes their account.
• Missed calls (who called and when), kept for 7 days so we can tell you later.
• Usage statistics via Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics in the apps): pages and screens viewed, app opens, device type, OS and app version, approximate location (country, city), and a random app or browser identifier. Used to see which features are used and where people get stuck; deleted automatically after 2 months. They contain no names, codes, contacts, room names or call partners, and are not used for ads.
• Access logs (IP address, browser type, error details), rotated automatically so the oldest entries are deleted first.

What we do not collect

Call or room audio, email addresses, phone numbers, address books, location, or advertising identifiers (Android advertising ID, iPhone IDFA). We show no ads. When a direct connection is blocked, audio passes through a relay server still encrypted and is not recorded.

Service providers and cookies

Optional sign-in goes through the provider you choose (Google, Apple, Kakao, Naver or Meta). Notifications go through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android), Apple Push Notification service (iPhone) or your browser's push service. Usage statistics are sent to Google LLC (United States) and kept for 2 months. The website stores Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar, up to 2 years); you can block them in your browser or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. To opt out in the apps, write to sody@kakao.com. The service works the same either way.

Deleting your data

Deleting your account from the "Me" screen in the app immediately deletes your name, code, contacts, rooms, block list, room records, push subscriptions and sessions. To remove data without access to the app, write to sody@kakao.com with your unique code.

Children

Children use a separate profile created by a parent or guardian under the guardian's own sign-in. We receive no account information from children. Only mutually accepted contacts can call each other.
